We invite law students from all universities to participate in the RSU ISC EU Law Moot Court, which will take place in Riga on 26th of March, 2026.

The event provides students with a unique opportunity to develop practical knowledge of EU law, enhance their oral and written advocacy skills, and expand their professional network with fellow students and experienced legal practitioners.

The RSU ISC EU Law Moot Court is organized by the Riga Stradins University Faculty of Social Sciences in cooperation with supporters – Walless and Sorainen.

Team applications and case submissions are due by 12th of March.

Event programme:

  • The competition will be held in a single day – 26th of March.
  • Teams are required to prepare a written position based on the case materials and evidence. The oral part of the competition allows students to test their argumentation skills, ask critical questions to opposing teams, and defend their position.
  • Lunch will be provided to participants by Peetri Pizza.
  • The day will conclude with a ceremonial award announcement, offering participants the opportunity to network and share experiences with other students and experts.

Practical information:

  • Written positions: maximum 20 pages
  • The competition will be judged by experienced EU law experts – RSU Faculty of Social Sciences academics and practicing attorneys with hands-on experience in EU law.
  • Winners will receive RSU ISC Moot Court valuable prizes, along with opportunities to further develop their legal skills.
